    It offers comprehensive renovation and home contents coverage for HDB, Condo and landed property homeowners.

  2. What are the differences between Etiqa’s HDB Fire Insurance and Etiqa’s Home Insurance?

    HDB Fire Insurance is mandated by the Housing and Development Board (HDB) as long as you have an outstanding HDB loan. It only covers the structure and fixtures owned by the Housing and Development Board (HDB) and only when it is damaged by fire but not your renovations and home contents.

  3. Who can be insured under Etiqa Home Insurance?

    Homeowners, tenants and landlords.

  4. Do I need to pay for the premium?

    No, this is a complimentary plan fully paid by Etiqa and PacificLight for qualified new signups.

  5. What happens if I cancel the PacificLight contract before the maturity of the Home Insurance?

    Your policy will be terminated automatically without any premiums being refunded.

    You have the option to buy a new plan directly with Etiqa Insurance under your own expense. PacificLight will not be involved for this new transaction between you and Etiqa Insurance.

  6. How long is the coverage period?

    This is a 12-month insurance plan.

  7. What does Home Contents refer to?

    Home Contents refer to all movable household items and personal effects belonging to you and your household but excluding:

    1. Any part of the Building;
    2. Items belonging to the landlord (if any);
    3. Landlord’s fixtures and fittings (if any);
    4. Livestock and pets;
    5. Securities, certificates, documents of any kind, stamps and computer systems records;
    6. Property held or used in connection with your business.
  8. What is covered under Renovation?

    Improvements and additions to your home in the form of fixtures and fittings. These can include flooring, built-in wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, installed lighting, mirrors, fixed glass and more.

  9. What else is covered under Etiqa Home Insurance?

    Valuables such as jewellery, watches, works of art, antique, paintings and other collectibles

    Pets – Loss or accidental death of a pedigree cat or dog

    Money stolen from theft

    Deterioration of frozen food in the freezer or refrigerator

  10. What does the Worldwide Personal Liability cover?

    We will cover you and your family members of the household that causes accidental death or bodily Injury to third party and loss/damage to someone else’s property. We will also cover legal costs and expenses for litigation recovered and legal defence incurred by you or your family member in the household.

  11. What is Emergency Home Assistance (EHA)?

    This is a one-stop end-to-end service that offers 24/7 assistance in major emergency repairs – plumbing, electricity, locksmith and pest control issues which is worth up to $800. You may contact the 24-hour Etiqa Home Assistance hotline at +65 6702 2662 whenever home emergency repair assistance is required.

  12. What happens if my building or contents are underinsured?

    If you have under-insured your premises, you will be responsible for a share of the loss or damage in the event of a claim.

  13. If I move house during the policy period, what happens to my policy?

    If you are moving to another premise, simply inform Etiqa in email and we will update your address in the policy schedule. However, if you are terminating the electricity contract with PacificLight, this policy will be terminated automatically.

Etiqa’s Terms & Conditions for PLEETIQA Promotion:
  1. The free Etiqa Home Insurance shall be given from 28 April 2018 to 30 June 2018, limited to first 1,000 sign ups with PacificLight Energy Pte Ltd for Successful Applicants of the Promotion, subject to Terms and Conditions.
  2. The home contents insurance policy is underwritten by Etiqa Insurance Pte. Ltd., a member of the Maybank Group.
  3. For more information, refer to the insurance policy wordings for the exact terms, conditions and exclusions.
  4. This promotion is not valid in conjunction with other Etiqa offers, campaigns, promotions, inhouse offers, programmes and vouchers.
  5. The Successful Applicant is entitled to enjoy free Etiqa Home Insurance for a period of 12 months effective 10 days after the successful transfer of electricity account to PacificLight (“initial signup period”).
  6. In the event that the Applicant terminates the PacificLight electricity account within the initial signup period, the free Etiqa Home Insurance will be automatically terminated with no refund of premiums or payments made. The Applicant will have the option to purchase a new Home Insurance plan with Etiqa at the Applicant’s expense.
  7. Etiqa reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to add, delete or vary any of the promotion’s Terms and Conditions from time to time, and to suspend, terminate and/or withdraw the promotion at any time without prior notice or liability to any person.
  8. The prevailing Standard Terms and Conditions pertaining to the Home Contents Insurance offered by Etiqa shall apply.
  9. Successful Applicants may be required to sign a written statement confirming their eligibility as part of policy issuance.
  10. By participating in this promotion, applicants agree that:
    1. Any and all personal information submitted may be used, collected and disclosed to
      Etiqa for various purposes for and incidental to the policy issuance; and
    2. Etiqa may use, collect and disclose such personal information for publicity and/or use in advertisements including and without limitation to Etiqa’s publications, promotional material and presentations (across any and all platforms, media or otherwise) without further notification, remuneration or compensation to the Applicant

  13. This Promotion and the Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore and each Applicant agrees to submit any claim, dispute or controversy to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
