On 28 July 2023, the Monetary Authority of Singapore announced a definitive timeline for the gradual removal of cheques in Singapore. This initiative aligns with the national effort to modernize and streamline payment methods for the benefit of all stakeholders.
Etiqa Insurance fully supports this national initiative and is committed to playing our part in advancing Singapore’s financial ecosystem. In light of this, starting from 1 November 2023, we will cease cheque payments to align with the nation’s drive towards a cheque-free environment.
