Make a Vehicle Damage Claim

Exchange particulars

When the accident happens:
  • Exchange particulars with the involved parties, including: name, NRIC/FIN (if foreign worker), telephone number, address and name of motor insurer
  • Take note of the vehicle number(s)
  • Take photographs of the vehicle(s) involved and the accident scene

Make a police report

Report the accident to the police if it involves any of the following:

  • Injury
  • Accidents involving a government vehicle or damage to government property
  • Accidents involving a foreign vehicle
  • Accidents involving a pedestrian or cyclist
  • “Hit and Run”
  • Vandalism

Visit an Etiqa Approved Reporting Centre

  1. Call an Etiqa Approved Reporting Centre for a tow truck (if needed), or for further advice on the procedure for accident reporting.
  2. Take your vehicle to an Etiqa Approved Reporting Centre within 24 hours or by the next working day. Bring your driving licence, NRIC and police report (if applicable) to the workshop and they will help you file your claim. For company-registered vehicles, please bring your company stamp.

Prepare these documents

  1. Completed claim form
  2. Attending Physician Statement
  3. All available test reports i.e. laboratory, diagnostic scan report, etc.
  4. Medically boarded out letter (if any)

Make a claim

Submit your documents to the Etiqa Approved Reporting Centre / Panel Repairers you brought your vehicle to.

Important Note

Your No-Claim Discount (NCD) will be affected and your claim may be prejudiced, if you fail to report and bring your vehicle that was in an accident to our Approved Reporting Centres within 24 hours or by the next working day.

Yes, you must report and bring your accident vehicle (regardless damaged or not or whether you are claiming under your own policy or not) to our Approved Reporting Centres within 24 hours or by the next working day if the accident happened on a weekend or a Public Holiday. Your NCD will be further reduced and your claim may be prejudiced if you exceed the time frame for accident reporting.

Please forward any documents received and accident video or photos to us. Do not contact the third party law firm to discuss accident details or settlement. Please forward legal documents to Etiqa urgently.

We strongly encourage you to claim under your own policy when accident is likely to be conflicted. Under policy terms & conditions, you are required to submit your own damage claim within 14days from the date of occurrence.

Your NCD will be affected as claim made under policy. If our recovery is successful, your NCD will not be affected.
